Make Copper (II) Acetate
Here, I make Copper (II) Acetate.
First, measure out 30 mL of vinegar in a beaker. Then add 30 mL of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide and an excess of copper. Leave this undisturbed until it stops bubbling. Then boil the solution down until crystals start to form. Let the solution cool down, then filter. Let the crystals dry, then store however wanted.
The overall reaction is Cu + 2C2H4O2 ⇒ Cu(CH3COO)2 + H2 with the catalyst H2O2.
